AM (age 7 today): I'm not going to say the "f" word... I don't know what it is.

Poppy seeds=Officer Chaim
I was talking with my DH on the phone today about what humantashen to order. I asked forpoppy and I heard ER (age 2.5) asking if DH was talking to Officer Chaim. Officer Chaim is a character my husband makes up stories for when they go on walks, usually on shabbos. Apparently last week the story involved some crime regarding poppy seed, so ER concluded that DH was talking to Officer Chaim.

north Korea following South Korea?
I took PJ and AM to 1776 the musical last Sunday. I wasn't sure how much AM got out of it, though I had the impression that by the intermission (about 2/3 of the way through the play) he had had enough and that much of it went over his head. There was an ongoing gag in 1776 at the continental congress that North Carolina kept deferring to the decision of South Carolina.
Later he was talking to DH, and somehow North Korea came up. AM piped up and asked: "Oh, in the play they kept deferring to South Korea?"

circular conversations with ER
My DH arranged for me to take our older two boys to a musical (1776 - community theater and very good) this afternoon, and he stayed home to nap ER, who is 2.5.
When we got home around 5:30 PM, ER was coming out of the bath and while I was getting him in PJs we had the following conversation:
ER: Why did you go?
Me: It was my turn.
ER: Why was it your turn?
Me: Because Abba went last time.
ER: Why did Abba go last time?
Me: Because it was his turn.
We went around in circles several times in this conversation. We did not discuss whatever the REAL thing he was trying to figure out (either why he didn't go or why I left him behind). He did not get upset, so it was ok.

Leading the pack
This past weekend, PJ (age 9) decided to bake cookie bars. Hi brothers wanted to help. So PJ did his best to have them "help" with the baking. He is learning the challenges of having helpers who are still learning.

T-ball
I introduced a modified form of T-ball to ER (age 2.5) last Sunday, where he hit the ball off the T, AM (Age 6) ran the 3 bases (two were trees) and I played defense. He also wore he quilted space helmet for the experience. He has woken up every morning this week and has asked to play. there is not enough time before the bus, but I appreciate his enthusiasm.
