PJ (4th grade) asked why the bad guys always use Swiss bank accounts in the books he reads.

signs of 2-ness

Today, when I came home from work, ER, who is 2, was very eager to hang out and help me with everything.  I brought a basket of dirty laundry down to wash and he ran to get his step stool to assist with loading the machine.  While I was emptying the dryer and not paying super close attention, he eagerly grabbed my skirt out of the closest basket... which of course was a load of clean laundry waiting to be folded.

Got to appreciate the enthusiasm!

ER showed me over the weekend how he could swing his leg up over the side of the crib.  We took off the front to convert to a toddler bed.  So far so good with napping and sleeping in the bed.

no trash can in the sanctuary

ER (age 1.5) came with me today to childrens groups at shul.  When they ended we went into the shul room where they were still davaning.  He saw a piece of cereal on the floor in front of us and picked it up.  He first gave it to me, but when I didn't go to dispose of it he took it back and started to look around the room for the trash can.  It is so impressive that (1) he did not eat it and (2) decided there needed to be a trash can somewhere for him to throw it out!

(We did then go into the hall and put it in the trash.)
